Maquillage Professionnel
I know, I know. I haven't blogged in a long while. But better late than never, yes? :p But kiddingly aside, a lot has happened for me in the months that have passed and the biggest would have to be my enrolling and graduating in makeup school.
It has been a dream of mine to be able to do this and last May 2012 one of my dreams came true! To add more of the dream-come-true factor of my experience I enrolled in my dream makeup school which is Maquillage Professionnel, a makeup school sponsored by Makeup Forever designed for makeup lovers who like me, want to turn their passion into a career.
The module I took was Module 1 wherein I learned Facial Beauty, Fashion, and Photography Makeup. Although it's the 1st module offered by my school already I found myself prepared for makeup jobs like weddings, photoshoots and the like wherein of course we were taught to be able to do so.
Being in a class where the lesson was all about makeup was of course more than a joy for me to attend and not to mention being classmates with people with the same passion as me!
So, I guess by now all of you wanna see the result of this training I was able to get to my actual makeup application. Without further-a-do, I give you my updated makeup portfolio featuring Fashion, Bridal, and Evening Makeup:
High-Fashion Makeup
Bridal/Wedding Makeup
Evening Makeup
Since my training in Maquillage Professionnel I can definitely say that my makeup application has been refined and I now know the different makeup styles to be done on different events and on different faces. So yeah, I guess you could call me a profession makeup artist now. (:
If in case you're interested to hire me please just email me at kriziajeannine@gmail.com and we'll talk further details. Hope to do your makeup real soooooon! (:
xoxo,
Krizia

My Recent Work. ♡ So, I know it's really wrong for me to not take pictures of the ladies that I put makeup on. Oftentimes I forget or I'm too lazy to do so. But as for the four lovely ladies who I put makeup on recently, me and my friend Florence actually did a fun shoot for them too so as a result I have really good pictures of their makeup to show you guys. (: Their eye makeup or their whole makeup in general wasn't so much on the dark side because they actually got me to do their makeup for their graduation pictures so I pretty much did classic looks on them since their pictures will be immortalized in their yearbooks. During their fun-shoot however I played with their lip colors. Here are the four lovely ladies who gave me the privilege to do their makeup. (: Thank you to Cham, Marge, Wiina, and Allaine for trusting in my skills to make and help them feel more beautiful! I don't fancy myself an expert just yet, but what I can assure you is that after I do your makeup, you are sure to look and feel more beautiful to whatever event or shoot you go to.(: Thank you too my really good friend Allyne of WhoWhatWear Online Shop for marketing me so fiercely and helping me out during the shoot as well! Love you bhi! If you do want to hire me, especially to Baguio ladies, just leave a comment in my comment box or email me at kriziajeannine@gmail.com. (: xoxo. ♡ Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 5:20 PM
On Youtube Makeup Gurus ♡ If you live in the 21st century, then you know that makeup gurus on youtube are so in right now! And I have to admit I learned so much from them as well. So this post is about my Top 5 (least-to absolutely adoreee :p) favorite youtube makeup gurus. I hope you can learn from them as much as I did. #5 Marlena of MakeupGeekTV What I personally love about her? Honestly, aside from her beautiful makeup application, it's because I relate to her. How? Let's just say we're both on the really sexy side. haha! What I mean is, like me, she's full-figured. And I love how she doesn't let that get to her in making her and other people feel confident and prettier with makeup. Also, she has her own line of makeup and makeup brushes which I wish could get my hands on. Aside from her youtube channel here's her blog: http://www.makeupgeek.com/ #4 Bubbi of bubzbeauty What I love about her? I actually found her channel because I was looking for hair tutorials. So yes, I really enjoy her hair tutorials and have tried some of them as well. (Just not properly executed as how she did it in her video :p) Her hair tutorials are like those Korean hairstyles that look messy but really work and you always wonder, how in the world did they manage to do that? Lol. When it comes to her makeup tutorials, I love how her looks always look so fresh. Oh, and I also learned a lot from her skincare tutorials. *Sighhh, among all the makeup guru s I follow on youtube, her skin is the one I envy the most Bubz's blog: http://www.bubzbeauty.com/ #3 Jen of frmheadtotoe What I love about her? I like her most for her wearable makeup tutorials. It's like although the look she's doing is dramatic, it's still somehow wearable to everyday events. Also, she caters so much to Asian makeup users like me. I also find myself buying a lot of products she recommends. Jen's blog: http://www.frmheadtotoe.com/ #2 Michelle of MichellePhan What I love about her? Seriously now, if you're truly a makeup lover then you have to know and love Michelle Phan. I know she's not my #1 when it comes to my favorite youtube makeup gurus but hey, she came pretty close. Personally, what I love about her tutorials is not so much on her makeup application but it's more of the trivia on makeup and beauty she always shares in her videos. Also, I love that her videos are not all about makeup tutorials but also on practical ways you can do to restore your makeup, make your makeup last longer, skincare, and ways you can make your makeup the most versatile. Michelle's website: http://www.michellephan.com/ drum-role please.... #1 Jessica Harlow of missjessicaharlow What I love about her? Oh my goodness where do I even begin? Well, first of all she's the first makeup guru I ever discovered on youtube and what can I say? I've been in love with her since then:p When it comes to her makeup application, hers is the one I can relate to the most and it's because if there's one word to describe her makeup, it's GLAMOROUS. And you know I'm a sucker for glamour. But this doesn't mean all her makeup tutorials are on the dramatic side, what I'm pointing at is although she's creating a simple look, she makes sure she still adds a detail to her makeup that makes it stand-out. And honestly, that's how I want my makeup to be too. Also, she's the one whom I most trust when it comes to her reviews on makeup products and I have to say that she's too blame on a lot of the products I buy. Lol. Jesicca Harlow's website: http://www.jessicaharlow.com/ So, there you have my Top 5 Makeup Gurus on Youtube. Remember, this is just MY opinion on who I think is really good as a makeup guru. But yes, I do highly recommend that you visit their channels and see for yourselves. (Oh, and yes, I'm also highly considering on making a channel of my own dedicated to what else? Makeup!) xoxo. ♡ Thursday, January 19, 2012 @ 12:41 AM
New Year; New Makeup to Love. ♡ Another year is upon us and so for my 1st blog entry for the New Year, I'm deciding to blog about the new makeup products I am absolutely in love with. And also 'cause I realized that it's also around New Year last year that I posted a blog about products I love. So it's been a whole year so you can expect a lot of changes in the makeup I now super adore. But of course I still highly recommend the past products I've blogged about. :) So, enough blabbing and here comes the blogging :) (Products are just in random order) 1. Etude House Color My Brows If you knew me personally, you'd know that I've been obsessing over eyebrows for a couple of months now:p I admit it took me a while to perfect doing eyebrows but this little baby helped me so much in creating the perfect full-eyebrows that I want :) What it does: It tints your eyebrow hairs in the colors they come in such as Light Brown (which is the shade I use because it's more close to my hair color) and Rich Brown for a more darker brown shade. Now what I recommend is to fill-in your eyebrows first with either your eyebrow pencil or powder or even eye shadow (which is what I use) and then after that do you lightly apply some of this product on the hairs of your eyebrows. I promise it makes all the difference in the world. :) Here's a picture of me when I first noticed the difference this brow tint does. (I'm using the shade Rich Brown in this picture.) 2. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme It's no secret that NYX lip products are adored by so many, especially their Round Lipsticks. And I'd have to say that I'm one of these many people that love their Round Lipsticks and I thought I wouldn't go venturing on their other lip products because I was already very happy with their Round Lipsticks. But all this changed when a very good friend of mine made me try her lip creme in the shade Antwerp. And since that faithful day, I've been using it daily. What it does: It's a truly matte lip product with such a rich color. The formula is thick and somehow like lip gloss and when you put in on it applies on sheen but rapidly becomes matte. Additional thing that I love about this product? It smells heavenly! It's like cake batter with a whole lot of Vanilla in it. :) And also, it's no secret that matte lipsticks are in the rave right now. (Shades that I own: Antwerp, Instanbul, and Addis Ababa. Cool names huh?:p) Yours truly wearing the shade Addis Ababa. :) 3. Benefit The POREfessional So I know that my last blog post was about face primers and I already blogged about this product. But now that I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, it quickly moved up to my absolutely, most recommended face primer! What it does: Reduces the appearance of pores and leaves you face feeling and looking smoother for better foundation application. I'm guilty in admitting that this is the 1st Benefit product I've ever used, although I've heard so many good things about their products especially this one. But now that I'm using this, I'd have to say that all the good things they say about it is truer than true! Lol. Also, among the face primers I've tried and also blogged about, this would have to be the one that kept my makeup on the longest. 4. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner (Shade I use: Tropper) Being a hardcore eyeliner lover, I've tried and tested so many eyeliners already, may it be liquid, gel, or pencil. When it comes to liquid liners, I thought it would be impossible for me to find a truly waterproof and smudge-proof liquid liner considering that it is liquid. But this eyeliner from Kat Von D literally changed my view and with this I can now say that liquid liners can be liquid-proof! What it does: The special brush tip of this eyeliner helps in creating the kind of eyeliner look that you want and it's really waterproof and smudge-proof. Additional info I'd like to put in about this liquid liner is that because the brush tip is so thin, I can easily line my eyes really close to my lash-line to achieve that natural liner look. :) 5. Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer I'm not really a big concealer fan since the foundation I use already offers the coverage that I want. But I've actually been wanting this concealer since I first learned about it but took some time before I was actually able to get it. And let me just say, it was worth the wait. :) What it does: Being true to its name "Tattoo" concealer, it really does stay-put on your face until you decide to wash it off. Plus, despite the thickness of its texture for the longevity of wearing it, it doesn't cake at all! I use this product mainly under my eyes and it instantly gives me that awake look. And of course I also use it on my blemishes and it truly does the trick of concealing them. If you want the best results of this product, I highly recommend you use its own brush as well. Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer Brush (Isn't its rose details so pretty? Very Kat Von D.) So there you have it, the Top 5 products I'm recently head-over-heels in love with! Believe me when I say that I'm really in love with these products because my friends can testify that I truly can't shut up about these products. :p Oh, if you want to know where I got these products and how much they are just leave a comment on my comment box. :) xoxo. ♡ Thursday, September 15, 2011 @ 12:21 AM
Beauty Tip # 4: PRIME TIME! ♡ These days, Makeup is no longer just about how it looks and what it is, a new plus factor to consider is how long it will last on your face. Thus, we have Makeup Primers! Lately, when I put makeup on someone, I find myself blabbing away about the importance of primers. So I figured I should blab about it here! Honestly, I haven't had that much experience with lots of primers but as far as my experience goes with what I've already tried, it already rocked!:p So how much more for more expensive or better brands? What Does it Do? For face primers, what it does is makes your skin prepped for foundation so your foundation has a better surface. It's like setting a good canvas for your painting. The sitch is that it sort-of clogs your pores (in a good way) so that your pores will appear smaller and imperfections on your skin would look less visible. Also, since it clogs your pores (again, in a good way), oiliness of your skin will be reduced greatly which in effect will make your makeup last longer. That way your foundation will just go on flawlessly! Some Recommendations: 1. AVON Ideal White Pre-Makeup Base I have this in Jade and it's the one I use everyday. It's good for neutralizing red areas on the face and it makes my makeup last longer too. Oh and another plus? It's extremely cheap for 300php+ only! So go contact your Avon Lady now!:pp 2. M·A·C 'Prep + Prime' Skin Refined Zone Treatment I recently just ordered this from http://carefreeshopper.multiply.com/ 'cause I heard so many good things about it. It's supposed to visually make your pores a lot less visible so it's best for those (like me) who have some blemishes to hide. 3. Benefit POREfessional Now this primer I have zero experience but from my intensive makeup research on the world wide web, this primer truly does the job in mattifying the skin. Plus, Benefit usually comes out with some of the best products when it comes to pre-makeup products. For eye primers, it also preps your lids for eyeshadow application. Aside from making it last longer, it smooths-out the creases in the eye area so that your eye makeup won't build-up in that certain area. Also, it leaves your eye makeup looking more polished and luminescent. Some Recommendations: 1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primers The shade I use is SIN and I loooove it to death! Of course it does the job in making your eyeshadow stay on longer but the best about it is that it leaves you eyeshadow looking a 100% better! I usually use it with Urban Decay eye shadows as well but when I used it with my cheaper eye shadows it left it looking great as well. 2. Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance Now, it's no secret that this is the eyeshadow primer that competes with Urban Decay's. I haven't tried this yet but the fact that it's as in demand as Urban Decay's then that's definitely saying something. I'll probably be getting this one as soon as I run out of my UD one. Maybe. haha! But still, don't think you will regret getting this as your eyeshadow primer. As for Lip Primers, Lash Primers and whatever primer there still is out there, I haven't given them a shot yet. So I won't go talking to you about something I don't know yet. But as for the two mentioned above, in my opinion those are necessities especially the Face Primer. I mean, who doesn't want to look flawless? There you have it ladies! Now don't forget, yes it's always excellent to have your makeup leaving you and making you feel beautiful, but you'll always get your money's worth on makeup if it lasts long. That way, you won't have to touch-up ever so often!(: xoxo. Thursday, August 11, 2011 @ 1:17 AM
Early Wishlist. ♡ I know I haven't blogged in a while and I apologize greatly but I just HAVE to blog about these (I'm sure are) amazing products which I can't get right now. boooo. but will definitely get them once my wallet allows me to:p First on my list... Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette ![]() I mean, can you just look at those goooreegeous colors?? and with the very high pigmentation of UD eye shadows, what more could you ask? don't believe me? check this vid. 2nd... Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer I've been hearing a lot of good things about this concealer but just never ended up buying one. And now I can say, I absolutely want one! I mean, if it covers tattoo's, doesn't that say so much good about it already? I've actually been on the search for good concealers and I'm actually quite happy with my MaxFactor PanStik concealer but I just can't help but feel that's something's missing:p Here's a vid of Kat Von D raving about it herself: wishlist #3... Benefit's Hoola Bronzer OR Too Faced - Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing PowderI use bronzer almost everyday and even mentioned what I use in a previous blogpost. But I recently took into consideration that the bronzer I'm using now is actually to orange and shimmery and can't be used so much on the contouring side. So, I searched for the perfect matte bronzer and so far these two are what I fell in love with. No.4 on my list... Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil It's no secret that Urban Decay houses the best eyeliners in town. Or in my opinion, the best eye makeup. I actually want to punch myself for not getting these eyeliners when I already know that it's the best of the best. Plan on getting them in the shades Zero(Black) and Bourbon (Brown). Just your basic colors for everyday looks. No.5 on the Wishlist... Sigma Makeup Eyes Kit Brushes It's another known fact that Sigma offers the best makeup brushes, so I want mooore!:p And it's another fact that I need more eye makeup brushes. So i definitely want, no, need this! Not on the wishlist... Just a Review (But wouldn't mind having another one:p) MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation ![]() I recently got myself this product and I know I'm such a loser for getting this only now:p So far, I'm loving it and all the positive reviews about it are all true. So if you don't mind spending on makeup and want a long-lasting and coverage-y powder foundation, then this is for you. So if there are kind souls out there who out of the goodness of their hearts just want to give me a gift out of the earliness of the gift-giving season, then look no further as to what to get me:p xoxo ♡ Labels: makeup Sunday, June 12, 2011 @ 3:26 PM
