Beauty Tip # 4: PRIME TIME! ♡ These days, Makeup is no longer just about how it looks and what it is, a new plus factor to consider is how long it will last on your face. Thus, we have Makeup Primers! Lately, when I put makeup on someone, I find myself blabbing away about the importance of primers. So I figured I should blab about it here! Honestly, I haven't had that much experience with lots of primers but as far as my experience goes with what I've already tried, it already rocked!:p So how much more for more expensive or better brands? What Does it Do? For face primers, what it does is makes your skin prepped for foundation so your foundation has a better surface. It's like setting a good canvas for your painting. The sitch is that it sort-of clogs your pores (in a good way) so that your pores will appear smaller and imperfections on your skin would look less visible. Also, since it clogs your pores (again, in a good way), oiliness of your skin will be reduced greatly which in effect will make your makeup last longer. That way your foundation will just go on flawlessly! Some Recommendations: 1. AVON Ideal White Pre-Makeup Base I have this in Jade and it's the one I use everyday. It's good for neutralizing red areas on the face and it makes my makeup last longer too. Oh and another plus? It's extremely cheap for 300php+ only! So go contact your Avon Lady now!:pp 2. M·A·C 'Prep + Prime' Skin Refined Zone Treatment I recently just ordered this from http://carefreeshopper.multiply.com/ 'cause I heard so many good things about it. It's supposed to visually make your pores a lot less visible so it's best for those (like me) who have some blemishes to hide. 3. Benefit POREfessional Now this primer I have zero experience but from my intensive makeup research on the world wide web, this primer truly does the job in mattifying the skin. Plus, Benefit usually comes out with some of the best products when it comes to pre-makeup products. For eye primers, it also preps your lids for eyeshadow application. Aside from making it last longer, it smooths-out the creases in the eye area so that your eye makeup won't build-up in that certain area. Also, it leaves your eye makeup looking more polished and luminescent. Some Recommendations: 1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primers The shade I use is SIN and I loooove it to death! Of course it does the job in making your eyeshadow stay on longer but the best about it is that it leaves you eyeshadow looking a 100% better! I usually use it with Urban Decay eye shadows as well but when I used it with my cheaper eye shadows it left it looking great as well. 2. Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance Now, it's no secret that this is the eyeshadow primer that competes with Urban Decay's. I haven't tried this yet but the fact that it's as in demand as Urban Decay's then that's definitely saying something. I'll probably be getting this one as soon as I run out of my UD one. Maybe. haha! But still, don't think you will regret getting this as your eyeshadow primer. As for Lip Primers, Lash Primers and whatever primer there still is out there, I haven't given them a shot yet. So I won't go talking to you about something I don't know yet. But as for the two mentioned above, in my opinion those are necessities especially the Face Primer. I mean, who doesn't want to look flawless? There you have it ladies! Now don't forget, yes it's always excellent to have your makeup leaving you and making you feel beautiful, but you'll always get your money's worth on makeup if it lasts long. That way, you won't have to touch-up ever so often!(: xoxo. |
