Make-up Products that I Absolutely L.O.V.E ♥ These days, every time I venture out into buying a new make-up product, I look online to check feedback of people who have actually used the product. So I thought I'd do the same by offering you my favorite make-up products to help you in your search for good make-up. Hope this helps you out!(: 1. CoverGirl TruBlend Mineral Bronzer Why I love it: ♥ I personally prefer to use bronzer to add a little color on my cheeks, So this brand of bronzer in this particular shade is perfect for that everyday sun-kissed glow. ♥ It stays on for hours. ♥ Its packaging is pretty big which for me, lasts for about 3-4 months. ♥Who doesn't love mineral make-up? 3. CoverGirl Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara Why I love it: ♥ So, the commercials are true, they truly make your lashes fuller and longer but without the clump! ♥You can cry your eyes out but not have your mascara run. 4. Revlon ColorStay Retractable Eyeliner Why I love it: ♥ I am truly a die-hard lover and user of eyeliner, so you can take my word when I say this is a great brand and kind of eyeliner! ♥ The BlackBrown shade is best if you are opting for a dark shade of eyeliner but avoiding that goth-like look. ♥ It stays on for hours. 5. Wishing everyone a FABULOUS New Year! ♥ xoxo, KG. Monday, December 27, 2010 @ 12:18 AM
From Me To You this Christmas Season. ♥ First of all, let me greet all of you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas and a Fun-filled, Fabulous New Year! I truly wish I could give all of you who view my blog a present for this Christmas season. Since that is not possible, I'll be showing you things you may get yourself instead. Of course, being the make-up junkie that I am, I'll be sharing to you my current cyberspace discovery of a brand of make-up that I absolutely LOVE and I'm sure that you'll love it too. This is no other than DollFace Cosmetics. I recently purchased a few products of theirs and have absolutely zero regrets of purchasing them. In their site you will find varieties of make-up in palettes of generous size and amount. If you're an aspiring make-up artist like me, their eyeshadow pallets are perfect for you because of the variety of shades and colors they offer. I specifically like their make-up brushes because they offer almost every kind of make-up brush you can think of in the same quality as well-known brands of make-up applicators. Despite that great quality of make-up they offer, you will find their products to be, in my opinion, incredibly cheap. If like me you've tried buying expensive make-up and buy them because of their superior quality, then you will have the same reaction as me with regards to the prices of their products. There's only so much I can say about DollFace Cosmetics, the best would be for you to check out their site and fall in love with their products. I know I did[: ♥ Saturday, December 11, 2010 @ 2:36 AM
Beauty Tip # 3: Foundation! Foundation! Foundation! ♥ In my experience with make-up, finding the right kind and shade of foundation that best fits me hasn't been an easy task. The most common problem you may experience with your search for the perfect foundation would probably be that your foundation is too light for you. Well, I've experienced that too. So let me first tackle on helping your with you skin-tone-matching-foundation dilemma! The solution in looking for a foundation shade that suits you comes in not looking for a lighter shade. It's possible that you didn't exactly mean on buying a shade of foundation that's too light for you, what probably happened is you tested it on your hand and figured it suits your complexion. I know this for I've done the same mistake. Well my advice for this is too stop using your hand! Because first and foremost, your hand is a more or less an entirely different shade than your face. So instead of using your hand, go ahead and try it on your face. But one thing I've truly learned in choosing the best shade of foundation is to not go for a lighter shade of foundation, rather go for a shade that's one shade darker than your complexion. In doing this you most probably will end up with a foundation shade that best suits your complexion. I know I have. Now for your 2nd dilemma of what foundation to buy.. I'm not exactly a person with access to all the best make-ups in the world. So the brands that I will be advising to are the ones in access to me here in my hometown which is more or less available to you too. Also, these brands aren't exactly on the expensive side[: Top 1: Revlon's PhotoReady Foundation Right now, this foundation is my absolute absolute favorite! I love it so much because when you apply it, it will give your face a glowing effect, it gives more depth to your face, and also cheats having an air-brushed look. Also, it conceals blemishes pretty good too. So if you're looking for foundation that can almost make you look flawless and will give you an extra glow, then Revlon's PhotoReady is for you. Top 2: Maybeline's Clear Smooth Gel Foundation Now this brand of foundation would be at a more cheaper side but it's also a pretty good foundation. For some reason, when I use this foundation I always get compliments on my skin. So this is probably why this is on my list. lol:p But seriously, Maybeline's Clear Smooth Foundation gives your face more of a powder finish and it stays pretty long on your face. What I also noticed in using this foundation is that it makes the complexion on your face seem lighter without it actually not looking good. It's kind of like the effect glutathione gives your face but only for a few hours. Top 3: Mary Kay's Medium-Coverage Foundation Now this brand of foundation isn't necessarily my favorite to use but if the 2 other foundations on this list aren't available, I'd be very much happy to use this one. What I like most about this foundation is that it truly leaves a powder-finish to your face and even eliminates the use of pressed powder or loose powder afterwards, but it still offers good coverage for the face. Also, you would not need to use so much foundation for your face with this one because it easily spreads on your face. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 @ 12:57 PM

Beauty Tip # 2: The Magic That is The Winged Eye. What it does is open up your eyes and really define them. Unlike just the use of mascara, the definition is very minimal, unlike with eyeliner that defines your eyes and kind-of gives definition to your lashes too. But, using mascara with eyeliner on your top lid is very recommendable too. There are 3 kinds of eyeliner we can find. Pencil, gel, and liquid. As for colors, you can almost find eyeliner in every color imaginable. But if you're just looking for an everyday look, I suggest you use black or brown. Personally, I prefer using a dark brown shade especially if you are to use it without eyeshadow. As for what kind of eyeliner to use, I prefer pencil without eyeshadow and gel for when I use eyeshadow. I don't usually use gel with my day makeup because it tends to smudge more, but if with eyeshadow, it serves as kinda like a powder that prevents the gel from smudging and using eyeshadow also needs darker eyeliner. Whatever type you use what's important is that you look for labels that suggest non-smudging and waterproof. This way you won't have dark smudges on your eyes. Now, let's discuss the winged-eye. Common mistakes in doing the winged-eye is that it is exaggerated too much. The trick to having a subtle winged-eye is not to make the wing too long. I like doing this in applying eyeliner because it gives you a girly look but at the same time leaves you looking FIERCE! Lastly, I'm not limiting the use of eyeliner just to upper eyelids. If you wish it (which I do as well), you can apply eyeliner on your waterline as well. What I suggest though is not outline the entire lower part of your eyelids, you could apply it almost 1/4 of your waterline. This way, the outline of your eyes in not to dark. When using eyeliner, it is always better to do the makeup on your entire face. But if you're not too much a fan of that, make sure to place lip color as well as a partner to your winged eye, for as you may discover, a beautifully colored lip and well-defined eyes go together perfectly! Yes, this is in the Philippines. Believe it. Though I have been reprimanded and caught for the possession of something illegal, and because of this people may have judged me of being a junkie for it and I am saying now that I'm really very much my being a LUXURY BEACH JUNKIE!!! ♥ It is no secret that I have visited a few resorts in the Philippines that have made my heart melt and made my case of obsessing over beach trips even worse. But I recently discovered a resort that will not only make my heart melt, but every other resort in the Philippines melt because of its OMFG beauty.Just look: This my friends is Bellarocca Island Resort and Spa; Yes, ISLAND! not just a cove, And yes, this is well in fact in the Philippines (unbelievable, I know), particularly in an island south-west of Mariduque. It recently opened last Feb. 2009 and will be fully functional at the end of this year.It is to no surprise that this place is also omfg in its price, for aside from your almost 3k plane fair to Marinduque, the cheapest accommodation you can get is $420. Let me do the calculating of the rate in peso (considering the 42php exchange rate) for you as to save you from falling off your chair. $420 is equal to 17,640php. And this is the cheapest accommodation for one night! Well, heaven has its price. lol Since it will take me forever to save up for a trip like this considering my lifestyle now as a not-yet-graduated 20yr old, I have figured out the best time to visit this heavenly place: My Honeymoon. (Yes Vance, I'v decided:p). Well if I don't get married, this place is in my top priority of places to visit in this life of mine. I mean, wouldn't you? If you want to drool more over this place visit: http://bellaroccaresorts.com |
